Your home or living space is really like your own personal garden and think
of yourself as a beautiful, even exotic flower growing in it! Are you caring for
your garden every day?
Make sure to keep the weeds out of your garden by keeping it free of clutter.
Of course we are meant to live in our living spaces, hence the name, so hopefully
your home is filled with your favorite things and if you are using your favorite
things, they will be lying around. This is a good thing. By “weeding”, I mean
getting rid of the things you no longer love or use, and if they are still of good
quality, by all means give them to someone who would delight in their beauty!
Take your cues from how you feel when your are in your home. If a certain area
is driving you crazy, take a little time and go through it, putting what is no longer
of any use in a trash sack! Then have a bag for give aways and put it in your car
in the front seat so you will actually give it away! If there is something you no
longer use, but still has some sentimental value, find a keepsake box or trunk
and store it there! This weeding process can be easy and kind of fun if you don’t
overwhelm yourself with a large area. Seriously, I do one small area at a time,
such as a bathroom drawer or two. Did I mention how much I love products?
My latest find is from a spa in Florida, and I think I have finally found the holy
grail of skin care products (maybe it is too soon to say, but I like the company’s
philosophy on beauty, see kaycasperson.com and let me know what you think).
After several months of inattention, my bathroom cabinets and drawers start
to look out of control, which makes me feel overwhelmed and out of control.
The best remedy I have found is to take a little time and “care for my garden!”
